HRF - NYCDOB - Special Inspection (TR1, TR5, TR5H & TR8):

HRF is Nationally Accredited Type A / Class I (Third Party) Inspection Body by A2LA and registered as a Special Inspection Agency with the New York City Department of Buildings. Per New York City Building Code requirements, special inspection agency must be retained by Building Owner, Developers and many City Agencies in the city to fulfill their TR-1 & TR-8 Special Inspection / Control Inspection Requirements on Major Renovations and New Constructions. Special Inspection Agency shall be bringing on board for building Architectural, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, etc. inspections.

A Special Inspection Agency & Special inspectors are third party licensed professional engineers and architects who oversee the construction and sign off of your project. Special inspection agencies are required to be hired by the owner, and are required for every single permitted project in New York City. We provide all levels of special inspection services from Substructure to Superstructure including soil site preparation, subgrade, pile driving, casing, foundation, footing, grade beam, strap beam, piers, retaining wall, reinforced concrete structure, structural steel, welding, concrete, masonry, and spray fireproofing, mechanical, energy, sprinkler, and firestopping. A Special Inspection Agency can issue TRs for Architectural, Civil, Geotechnical, Mechanical, Structural & Energy Code Compliance related items. 

HRF inspection body is accredited in accordance with the recognized International Standard ISO/IEC 17020:2010 conformity assessment, requirements for the operation of various types of bodies performing inspection.
